The City of Joburg Property Company (JPC) is pleased to announce the official appointment of Mr. Musawakhe (Musah) Makhunga as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 1 September 2025. His tenure is for a period of five (5) years fixed term.
Mr. Makhunga has served as Acting CEO and successfully guided the organisation through a period of transition. During this time, he demonstrated exemplary leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to JPC's mission of promoting sustainable property development and management in the City of Johannesburg.
The Board of Directors is confident in Mr. Makhunga's ability to lead the JPC to its next stage of growth and innovation. His experience in public sector property management and rich knowledge of institutions prepare him to drive stakeholder partnerships and meet JPC's vision of service excellence for the City and its citizens. The Board of the Joburg Property Company extends its congratulations to Makhunga and calls upon all stakeholders, partners, and employees to rally their support behind him in this new role.
