Purpose and Mandate
The purpose of the Department is to maximize use of the City’s Property Portfolio and generate revenue for the City. This is achieved through leases, sales, acquisitions, developments and granting of servitudes on Council owned properties.
Facilities Management as a Core Function
FM encompasses multi disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process, and technology. It is important to note that technology is critical to the efficiency and effectiveness of facilities management.
Facilities Management is the quintessential business function affecting not only revenues and cost but also:
